and undamaged poster from the 1981 art exhibition by the internationally
celebratedLatin American figurative painter Fernando Botero (Colombia, b.1932)
held at theSeibu Museum of Art, Tokyo, Japan. There are no noticeable
scratches, scuffs, corner folds or edge bruises on this vintage mounted museum
exhibition poster from the work of the greatColombian painter Fernando Botero.
It's estate fresh and was removed from a well-appointedsouthern Vermont home.
It's unframed and looks to never have been framed, since there's no margin
damage or color diminishment. With vertical font, adjacent to the image of a
rotund Catholic priest or purple belted Franciscan Friar, the vintage show
poster has period, Modernist balloon typography in the vertical banner next to
the image of the painting. The image runs all the way from the upper poster's
margin to the poster's lower margin. There are no stains, dings, foxing or
tanning. Great color large, monumental size. Beautiful. There's only one
Fernando Botero, and like his work, this poster also seems 'larger than life.'
CONDITION:Very Good to Excellent overall vintage condition.
