Hand Painted Hanging Scroll
TITLE : Cranes
Signature (Seal) : KANO NAONOBU (1607-1650) was the son of Kano Takanobu
1571-1618). His brothers are Kano Tanyu and Kano Yasunobu. After the death of
his father Kano Takanobu, Kano Koi instructed Naonobu and Yasunobu painting.
SinceTanyu had already become agoyo-eshi (a purveying painter to the Tokugawa
shogunate) to the shogunate in Edo, Naonobu inherited his father's estate. In
1625, Naonobu, along with Tanyu, Yasunobu, Koi and other Kano artists, worked
on the sliding-door (fusuma) paintings of Nijo Castle in Kyoto.

We do our best in writing our description & judging paintings. However, we
sometimes overlook something. Most of the items are very old and not mint
condition. Also the judgement in very difficult. Please look at the pictures
carefully and ask questions before bidding. They have age appropriate flaws.
So, if you are nervous about any flaws and damages, please refrain from bidding
on our items.
